Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving,

Rockin’ Robin’s will be closed today, as are most businesses, so everyone can stuff themselves, take naps, watch football and wonder why they couldn’t come from a normal family.

First my gratitude to all you came to see the 'Women Rock the Night' show last Saturday at Oskar Blues in Lyons. It was SRO as usual this year…..soon we’ll need a bigger venue….the Boulder Theater, perhaps? If you missed it or you were there, there is a new slide show of pics on the website….center column beneath the Rhythm on the Rails pics.

Plan Ahead: The 17th Annual Sagittarius Ball will be Saturday, Dec. 5th at the Elks Club as usual. This year's band will be the Diva of Denver herself, Hazel Miller. Tickets are $25 in advance and can be purchased here at Rockin' Robin's! Where you can also choose something fabulous and sparkly to wear as this the only Boulder event where people actually dress up! And boy do I have a LOT of sparkly fabulous dresses and formals in!

Niwot Happenings: Friday, Nov. 27, 5 to 8 pm, is Enchanted Evening in Niwot! This annual event is a perfect thing to bring the visiting relatives to….includes shuttle rides around Niwot on Banjo Billy's Bus, (with historical as well as hysterical commentary), the official tree lighting, and live music in 4 locations….the Niwot Semi-Marching Free Grange Band will be playing outside at the tree lighting (corner of 2nd Ave and Niwot Rd), Christine Tulis will be playing the harp inside the Niwot Inn, the Ptarmigan String Quartet will be playing Christmas Carols inside the Emporium, and Clay Rose will be inside WiNot Coffee shop. There will also be performances of an original skit by the Teen Theater on the Green inside the Emporium, and Santa will be inside Niwot Interiors! Stores will all be open late with specials and refreshments so come out, see all the displays, and enjoy the feeling of a small town holiday in Niwot.

Theater/ Plan ahead for a hilarious holiday show:  "A Tuna Christmas" will be at the Mary Miller Theater in Lafayette beginning December 4th and running through Dec. 20th. Starring another buddy of mine from the murder mysteries, Wade Livingston and Jim Whiteman.

Clothes this week:  I got in a great collection of larger sizes this week...lots of blouses, pants and a some holiday formal wear...from size 16 to 22. Jewelry queen, Judy White dropped in with a new collection of funky and fantastic pieces, lots more in the way of coats, jackets, furs.....but by far....the holiday sparklies are taking over the store! If you have a party to go to, or the Sagg Bash...you must come in and try on some of these dresses and formals. I've really never seen anything like it this year!

Band of the Week Video:  One of the showstoppers at the Women Rock the Night Show was Jessica Rowand belting out a Susan Tedeschi number....who she had the privilege of singing with this past summer. Paul Rogalski, her husband, helped me out by playing bass with the Niwot Timberline Symphony when I got to conduct a few weeks ago...which by the way...if you haven't watched that video...wasssupp with that? Paul and Jessica have a great little band called Mojomama and a great little music school in Longmont called Mojo's Music Academy and this Saturday night they're at the Brick House/Lazy Dog on Pearl St. They're also my Band of the Week Video. Enjoy!
